Xflow vs Skydo 2026: Honest comparison for exporters

Indian exporters and freelancers lose thousands of rupees every month to hidden forex markups and slow bank transfers. Two platforms now promise to fix that — Xflow and Skydo. Both hold final RBI PA-CB authorisation and offer zero FX markup on international payments. But they differ sharply on pricing, integrations, and who they serve best.

This comparison breaks down everything you need to know before choosing your cross-border payment platform in India in 2026.

What Xflow offers in 2026

Xflow launched in 2021 and was built by former Stripe engineers in Bengaluru. The platform has raised over $32 million in funding, backed by Stripe, PayPal Ventures, and General Catalyst. It now serves around 15,000 businesses and processes nearly $1 billion in annualised payment volume.

The pricing is simple. Xflow charges a flat 1% fee on every transaction with an $8 minimum. There is zero FX markup — you get the live mid-market interbank rate on every conversion: no SWIFT charges, no intermediary fees, and no monthly subscription.

Xflow partners with JPMorgan Chase as its banking partner. Settlements land in your Indian bank account within one business day. The platform auto-generates free eFIRA certificates within 24 hours of every withdrawal.

One standout feature is the FX AI Analyst, launched in 2025. It uses AI-powered USD/INR forecasting to help businesses set target conversion rates and time their withdrawals. Early users report earning an extra 8–10 paise per dollar through smarter conversion timing.

If you use Zoho Books, Xflow now offers a native integration launched in April 2025. You can manage invoicing, collections, and withdrawals without leaving your accounting software. The platform also has comprehensive APIs for developers who want to embed cross-border payments into their own products.

Xflow supports 25+ currencies from 140+ countries. Clients pay via local bank transfers to virtual bank account numbers — ACH in the US, SEPA in Europe, and FPS in the UK. There is also EEFC account support, which lets you hold foreign currency rather than converting it immediately.

However, Xflow does not accept card or ACH payments from clients. It is a bank-transfer-only model. There is no mobile app, no WhatsApp support, and limited independent reviews — only one Trustpilot review exists as of March 2026.

What Skydo offers in 2026

Skydo entered the market in 2022, founded by Srivatsan Sridhar and Movin Jain (ex-PhonePe Director). The platform raised $10 million in a Series A round in December 2025, led by Susquehanna Asia VC and Elevation Capital. In January 2026, Skydo received final RBI PA-CB authorisation for inward cross-border payments.

Skydo now serves over 30,000 customers across 50+ Indian cities. That is double the customer base of Xflow.

The pricing works differently. Skydo charges a flat $19 for payments up to $2,000, a flat $29 for payments between $2,001 and $10,000, and 0.3% for payments above $10,000. Like Xflow, there is zero FX markup at the live mid-market rate. An 18% GST applies to the fee amount.

If you want to receive international payments in India through multiple channels, Skydo has an edge. The InstaLinks feature, powered by a partnership with Veem, lets US clients pay via ACH (around 2% fee) or credit card (around 5% fee). This is useful when clients prefer to pay by card rather than wire money.

Skydo also has an official Amazon Global Selling integration with automated eBRC generation. For goods exporters selling on Amazon, this is a meaningful differentiator. The platform generates instant free FIRA certificates for every transaction.

Customer support is where Skydo clearly pulls ahead. The platform offers WhatsApp support, dedicated account managers, and named support agents who receive consistent praise in reviews. On Trustpilot, Skydo holds a 4.0 out of 5 rating from over 118 reviews — a solid independent track record.

The trade-off is that Skydo currently has no developer APIs, no native accounting software integrations with Zoho Books or QuickBooks, and no mobile app. These features are planned for the Series A roadmap but are not yet available.

Fees compared: Where each platform wins

The pricing difference between Xflow and Skydo creates a clear breakeven point. Understanding this saves you real money as you look for the best forex rates for exporters.

For a $1,000 payment, Xflow charges $10 (1%) while Skydo charges $19 (flat). Xflow wins on small payments.

For a $5,000 payment, Xflow charges $50 while Skydo charges just $29. Skydo starts winning above roughly $1,900.

The gap widens on larger invoices. A $10,000 payment costs $100 on Xflow versus $29 on Skydo. A $50,000 payment costs $500 on Xflow versus just $150 on Skydo.

If you process frequent large invoices, Skydo's tiered flat-fee model saves you significantly. If your average transaction is under $1,900, Xflow's 1% rate is the cheaper option.

Both platforms offer genuinely zero FX markup. Traditional banks typically add a 2–5% hidden forex margin on top of their stated fees. That means a business sending $100,000 per month through a traditional bank could lose $4,000 to $8,000 in hidden costs. Platforms like these cut those hidden costs dramatically.

Compliance and documentation

Both platforms handle RBI compliance automatically. Xflow holds PA-CB authorisation for both exports and imports, while Skydo holds PA-CB authorisation for inward payments only.

Each platform generates free eFIRA or FIRA certificates for every transaction — typically within 24 hours. These are the key compliance documents for receiving international payments. Both platforms pre-fill RBI purpose codes and handle FEMA requirements through their banking partners.

A common point of confusion involves Form 15CA and 15CB. These forms apply to outward remittances — money sent abroad from India. Since both Xflow and Skydo handle inward payments, neither platform generates 15CA/15CB directly. The relevant document for receiving export payments is the FIRA or eFIRA.

For Amazon sellers specifically, Skydo offers automated eBRC generation, which is required for claiming export benefits. Xflow does not currently offer this.

Both platforms hold SOC 2 and ISO 27001 security certifications, which should give enterprise clients confidence in data handling.

Integrations and technical capabilities

Xflow is the developer-first platform. It offers comprehensive REST APIs with webhooks, white-label solutions for marketplaces, and a native Zoho Books integration. If you are building a platform that needs an embedded international payment-gateway capabilities for exporters, Xflow is the stronger choice.

Skydo takes the opposite approach. It prioritises ease of use, with a clean dashboard and features such as custom payment reminders with read receipts, a client ledger for reconciliation, and an FX savings calculator. Developer APIs are on the roadmap but not yet available.

Neither platform has a mobile app. Neither integrates natively with Tally, QuickBooks, or FreshBooks. Neither connects to freelance marketplaces like Upwork or Fiverr the way Payoneer does.

If you are comparing these platforms against the broader market, it helps to explore alternatives to established providers like Wise to see how the landscape has shifted in 2026.

Who should pick which platform?

Choose Xflow if you run a tech company, SaaS business, or marketplace that needs API integrations. It suits developers who want to embed payments into their products. It also works well if your average invoice is under $1,900, if you use Zoho Books, or if you need EEFC account support to hold foreign currency.

Choose Skydo if you regularly process invoices above $ 2,90. It is the best option for freelancers' payment solution for in-Indiaencies and consultancies billing $5,000 to $50,000 per project. Amazon sellers benefit from the automated eBRC feature. Non-technical users will appreciate the WhatsApp support and hands-on onboarding.

If you are a freelancer billing under $500 per invoice, neither platform is ideal. Xflow's $8 minimum makes small payments expensive, and Skydo's $19 flat fee is steep on low-value transactions. PayPal or Payoneer may still suit very small payments despite higher FX markups.

Both platforms are growing fast. Xflow grew roughly 10x in payment volume during 2025, while Skydo grew 4x in customer count. Both are investing heavily in new features, with import payments and expanded country coverage expected from both in late 2026.

The right choice depends on your transaction size, technical needs, and how much you value customer support versus developer tools. Either way, you are saving far more than you would with a traditional bank or legacy platform.
